"Gone are the days when SDM Dental family was a little one and all of us were fully aware of the events that took place around us. The dissemination of information was then by the word of mouth. We have grown, steadily over the years and there is pressing need to communicate among ourselves, so that we appreciate and applaud our acheivements and partake in our joys and sorrows. With this in mind, we embark upon the quarterly bulletin; TIDINGS. Tidings would also serve to link all our alumni with alumina and bring fond memories to light"

The staff club news bulletin of 1997, gave birth to the first issue of Tidings in March 1999. Since then it has been regularly published.
